I’m Jemy. Grew up in the Philippines & now based in Toronto. I’ve always photographed people around me: friends, family, moments that would’ve passed if we didn’t pause to keep them.

Life gets so busy and I find that we sometimes forget to realize the whole point.

I started taking pics for Lookbook outfit photos to magazine sets & have always been drawn to aesthetics and culture. My work brought me into beauty, commercial and editorial photography - shooting for MEGA Magazine (now owning Vogue Philippines) for spreads, covering runways, events, then working with L’Oréal PH, MAC Cosmetics PH, and later DSW Canada & The Shoe Company as their in-house photographer.

Those years shaped my eye: clean, intentional, a little editorial.

But more than anything, I care about preserving memories & for people to feel like themselves in front of the cam -  not posed, not tense, just present in the moment.

I keep things relaxed whether we’re at home, outdoors, or in studio, so memories feel like memories, not images you had to perform for.
